Maiden Voyage to Wooten Elementary

On April 30, the Mud Dauber I brought the first of a series of hand building pottery classes to 5th grade students at Wooten Elementary School. The students learned about the pottery items used by pioneer families, then created jugs with handles similar to those used in the 19th century. The class is sponsored by 3M and by the Texas Commission for the Arts. It continues throughout May.
